The Finance Director, in coordination with the Pastor, Treasurer, money counters and others, helps provide accountability in the church through leading in the development of the church's yearly budget, overseeing budget compliance, and helping evaluate requests for financial aid/benevolence and missions support.  The Finance Director will also promote an emphasis on good stewardship through planning and implementing yearly stewardship campaigns and ongoing stewardship education.

Clarkdale Baptist Church offers Sunday School classes for all ages.  This includes nursery, pre-school, children, youth, and adult classes. For adults there are  couples classes, separate men and women's classes, and a "community" class.  In addition to the Bible itself, our teachers use Bible-based materials and teaching methods to meet the needs of every age group.

Cindy Nester is the Director of the Sunday School ministry.  And Leslie Fiedler, in addition to being a teacher of a children's Sunday School class,  is the leader of Children's Church, which takes place during the morning worship hour.   

The Baptist Men on Mission organization helps men, young men, and boys become personally involved in missions and ministry.  They engage in, promote and supoort missions activities at the local, association, state, North American, and international levels.  The Baptist Men on Mission of Clarkdale Baptist Church have a breakfast meeting at least once each month, in which they plan missions and missions support activities, and pray for the needs of the church, its leaders, members, and all of its ministries, as well as having a Bible-based devotional emphasis.  To the extent possible, they provide assistance (material, financial and spiritual) to support other ministries of the church - and their leaders. Bill Martin is our Men's Ministry Leader and Leader for  Baptist Men on Missions.

The Clarkdale Baptist Church Senior Ministry, under the leadership of Senior Ministry Leader Howard Wysocki. meets on the first Thursday of each month for a Potluck Luncheon, and has a special speaker and/or other interesting program activity.  The Senior Ministry group also takes day trips to places of historical interest, as well as picnics and other outdoor outings.

The music ministry includes a worship/praise team made up of both youth and adults.  A piano, an organ, and guitar(s) are the principle musical instruments used.

In addition to congregational singing of choruses and hymns, Solos, duets, quartets, ensembles, etc. provide a variety of Christian vocal music in both morning and evening services.

Big Apple Adventure: Where Faith and Life Connect

Big City, Bigger Fun! Grab a cab and get ready for fun around every corner in LifeWay’s Big Apple Adventure, Where Faith and Life Connect. As kids explore the big city, they’ll learn how to step out in faith and connect with Jesus--sharing the message of Christ with their world.  WHEN:  June 20 - 24, 2010  From 5:30 To 8:30 p.m. with an After- VBS Family Celebration, Sunday, June 26.  

         Leslie Fiedler, pictured below with four children, is the VBS            Director for 2011.  Leslie is also the Leader of Children's Church.

Currently, there are only six active, ordained deacons at Clarkdale Baptist Church.  In addition to supporting and assisting the Pastor, and church family visitation, the deacons manage the church's Benevolence Ministry, and provide assistance to the needy of our church, and others on a case by case basis.  Five of the six deacons are pictured below.  From left to right they are:  John Burrows; Ed Fields and his wife Trudy; Gordon Schneider and his wife Pauline; Frank Forsyth and his wife Jan; and Wes Mauldin and his wife Betty.

The Clarkdale Baptist Church Youth Ministry, under the leadership of Lou Fisher (shown below with two of the youth)  meets every Wednesday in Building "C" (Fellowship Bldg.) from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m.  Their activities include Bible Study, devotionals, recreation and community projects.   Following Christ in a consistent, meaningful way, and reaching others with the Good News of Christ are ongoing goals of our Youth Ministry.  For information about the SBC North American Mission Board's Go-Students.net, click here: Home-Go

The CBC Children's Ministry, under the direction of  Phoebe Boldin (pictured below with children, meets every Wednesday from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.  Based on "TeamKid" (Kids in Discipleship) materials obtained through Lifeway Christian Resources,  children in grades 1-6 are involved in a fun, recreation-based club for kids!  It balances high-energy activities and games...with high-impact Bible lessons and Scripure memorization.

Every meeting includes a missions emphasis and uses a recognition program that rewards kids for attendance, completion of Bible-related work, and bringing friends with them.

The Clarkdale Baptist Church Hospitality Ministry, under the leadership of Church Hostess, Judith "Judy" Wysocki, pictured below, oversees and facilitates all kinds of social activities of the church, including churchwide fellowship meals, as well as arranging hospitality meals & housing for visiting evangelists, etc.

Through its participation in the Southern Baptist Convention's Cooperative Program, Clarkdale Baptist Church supports both North American and International Missions.  It also supports the State Missions programs of the Arizona Southern Baptist Convention and the Assocciational Mission programs of the Yavapai Baptist Associastion.  As the need arises, and to the extent possible, we also provide material and human resources to assist new and existing mission churches and projects. 

Following the disbanding of Clarkdale Baptist Church's own Hispanic Ministry, due to the resignation of the Hispanic Ministry Pastor, because of urgent health problems, we are now a supporting partner of the Hispanic Ministry for the entire Verde Valley.  As such, CBC has offered the use of Worship and Educational facilities by an Hispanic congregation, when the need arises, as well as some financial support and human resources.
